Meet Mandy Robinson: our new team member

Say hello to Mandy, who we welcomed to the Stephen Eve Financial Planning team earlier this month.

Mandy joins us with a wealth of experience in financial services, having worked for several big names in the industry as well as smaller, personal companies.

She is a brilliant addition, strengthening our team as a Client Administrator, working closely with Ben, Rav and our trusted product providers on client enquiries, compliance documentation, investment implementation, valuations and more.

We believe it's always good to put a face to a name, and understand who you are working with, so Mandy has kindly shared some of her thoughts with us in a Q&A to help you get to know her better.

Tell us a bit about your background, how did you get to where you are now professionally?  

For the first part of my career I spent time in the banking and insurance world where I originally worked for the Halifax Building Society and then moved over to Halifax Life.  Following that, I moved to Standard Life where I became the Administration Team Manager and, when that department relocated to Leeds, I moved into the IFA industry. From there, I have worked for two other independent financial advice businesses of SME size, and now I am excited to join Stephen Eve Financial Planning.

Why did you choose Stephen Eve Financial Planning? 

Having previously worked with Ben and Rav, I knew I would settle into the team straight away and get on with them well. I have been impressed with Stephen Eve since it started, the way they are passionate about putting the client first, paying attention to people's personal values as well as their investment performance.

What would you like to achieve in your new role with us? 

I'll keep it simple: do a good job, add value to the business, and help it to grow.

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work? 

Managers and colleagues. A good team is invaluable to how you learn, progress, and your motivation.

Tell us a work-related accomplishment that you’re proud of? 

My 360 feedback results when I was the Admin Team Manager at Standard Life. I was really pleased to know I had a positive impact on my colleagues and those who I supported.

Can you give us a bit of an insight into your life outside of work? What are your interests?  

I'm a big Nottingham Forest fan and enjoy socialising with friends and family plus lots of holidays!

One thing you've learned in the past year: either professionally or personally!  

I’ve learned that I am happy in my own company as well as when I'm socialising.
